I'm kind of obsessed with obscure 90s alt rock so ish like this will probably come up a lot
Talk Show - Everybody Loves My Car
70s sounding. Sunny California suburbs. Love the guitar and vocals. This was Stone Temple Pilot's side project band while Scott Weiland was sorting himself out.
Tinted Windows - Messing with my Head
James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins, one of the Hanson Brothers, and Cheap Trick. I love James Iha and his guitar is simple here compared to his other works, but still awesome. There is genius in simplicity, as they say.
School of Fish - 3 Strange Days
I discovered this song like 10 years ago ish. Judging from the video, it's from 1990 or 1991. When I first heard it, I was living the kind of life in the lyrics. Strange, psychedelic daze. But loving every minute. Keep feeling fascination. Love this song.
Blur - Swamp Song
I don't even wanna get into what my life was like when I was rocking this song but yeah the lyrics kind of explain. I have some lore I don't share with much people but would probably make people say "wow wtf". Let me get ultra famous so I can share this bizarre story because I am saving it for then.
DFA 1979 - Caught Up
I don't care if it's TMI but this song is sexy a f and it's for hot, sweaty, mid summer, passionate sessions where you show yourself the heights of self love. c'mon now, you know you deserve it babe. I listen to a lot of can con when I'm overseas, I dunno why. I grew up in Toronto so it's programmed into me. Jesse F Keeler is half Indian and I saw him at the grocery store LOL.
Ammonia - Drugs
Fuck I love the mellow trippy guitar tone in this song. It reminds me of running in a giant field in the summer, and then laying on your back in the grass and staring at the sky and thinking "you know what, life is pretty good." I used to date this gen x dude and was honestly so jealous he got to be a teen in the 1990s. Can we bring back music like this so I can experience it as a young adult???? PLEASE!!!!
Pure - What it is
I longboard in LA to this song. Sun shining brightly and I feel like a million fucking dollars. I'm on set, then I'm on the red carpet, and then I'm at some rooftop party where the Latina DJ is playing Bhangra the moment I walk in. my date is handsome a f, drove us there in his nice car, and we're superstars. True story. Average day in LA. At night I'm in the hot tub in a bikini.
Queens of the Stone Age - In My Head
Lots of stories of LA. Forgot about this song until September 2025. At an exclusive red carpet party at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Clinking glasses with movie executives and eating fancy ish that waiters are bringing to me. They randomly play this song and I am dancing and happy. Similar story as above but completely different day. Driven there in a Lexus convertible. I am really in tune with the energy of LA and listening to songs that remind me of her make me happy. She's my lover. I talk to her telepathically. Like any good lover, she finds excuses to keep bringing me back.
Beck - Megaboob
I want to meet Beck. Can someone please arrange this? We will record a grunge album together. I love his unreleased grunge songs so much. I know exactly what this song is about. As a fellow crabilcious zodiac sign, we have a thing for breasts. It is what it is. I say I'm bisexual, but in actuality I am 99% gay.
It's 2 am in Toronto and I need to go tf to bed. Been here for a month but mentally I am not here. I'm everywhere else.

Kenny Mason - Pup
Kenny Mason is so goated yet underrated. The PERFECT meld of hip hop and nu metal/grunge. Deliciously Urban yet Suburban. As somebody who grew up in both worlds, this is awesome. I skate to this and feel like the coolest person alive and errybody else can go fuck themselves. I literally wanna go to Atlanta just cuz of Kenny Mason. And Lakeith Stanfield's character in the show Atlanta. And Andre 3000 of Outkast. What's going on in Atlanta? Seems lit tbh. I wanna go, bro.
I also love his song Play Ball which helped me get through a weird time in my life that's thankfully over. The drama that comes with being hot, talented and interesting in a small minded town. The line "Get the fuck out my face DAWG" on repeat in my head and reminding me I can be scary too when I wanna be.
Rae Sremmurd - Swang (Labrynth Flip)
VIBES UPON VIBES
Migos - T Shirt (Guala remix)
Was Cardi B married to one of the Migos? I don't actually keep up in ppl's business like dat. I'm so sorry to Cardi if that's the case, I don't rly eff with the migos or her ex, it's just this one remix. When you pull a bad bitch you best worship the ground she walks on otherwise the rest of us turn against you too, and anyways I like way more Cardi B songs. I'm more into Guala. Love that buzzy bass ish they got going on in their remixes and they based in LA so ya gotta love that.
Bangla Ke Peeche Bounce - Sugahunny Edit
I went to India for the first time EVA last year and when I was there, Sugahunny was the BIGGEST DJ in the country, but also in the world. She was talked about everywhere, over analyzed and jealously gossipped about by the npc men in India. They hate Indian women so much, so when an Indian woman takes the top spot, it's especially sweet. And it's well deserved. This was THEE song in India, and all over the world in 2025 and onwards. Much pyaar mohabbat ishq miss Sugahunny! I listen to this all the time. There is a viral video of her playing this song in the back of a tuktuk. Indian women are dope a f and it's better to just admit it and deal with it rather than waste energy upset about it.
Yeh Mera Dil (Bass Remix) - Kalbaisakhi x Lush Lata
Yeh Mera Dil means "this is my heart" in Hindi. One of my favorite genres is retro Bollywood, aka Filmi/Filmy. In particular, I love the 70s, early 80s (funk/disco era) and 90s. This song by Asha Bhosle originally came out in 1978.
Love Me Now - Snoritz
Mexicans have the best taste in music. Pretty sure I overheard a restaurant cook in Playa del Carmen playing this out the Mermaid Restaurant on CTM and 20. iykyk. Now a staple in my set. I am always shazaming. Have to.
Drogba (Joanna) - Afro B
One thing I love about travelling is finding out what different places are listening to. I discovered this song on my first night in Belize. It was my first time travelling with girlfriends and we were walking to a restaurant in Belize City. They were playing this on the street, from a speaker above a store. It was a velvet navy blue humid night, just after golden hour. We were casually walking by, and then my friends started singing this word for word along to the song, and dancing, and all of a sudden, the night got even more magical than it already was. The next day we went deep into the rainforest jungle and had a beautiful and luxurious, yet raw and natural experience. I want my life to ALWAYS be full of beautiful memories like that: Beautiful music, beautiful women, beautiful nature.
